26 weeks

Here we are at 26 weeks!  I feel like after October is over this pregnancy will basically be over too.  We have a lot of fun things to look forward to this fall that will help pass the time:  Missy's wedding, hunting, Garth Brooks concert in Minneapolis, Sydney's birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and then baby!

I'm starting to feel more and more like this baby is a boy.  I'm thinking we will be very surprised if it comes out a girl!  I told Brian that I crave all man foods (burritos, chips, sausage) and that by the end of the day I feel very stinky like a teenage boy.  I said there has got to be a boy in there making all this happen to me!

25 weeks

Here is the 25 week picture.  bigger every week!

Here is our little firecracker.  She loves watching her movie, which she pronounces "mya mya" (my movie).  it is the stupidest movie Brian and I have ever seen and she LOVES it.  so we only let her watch it every once in a while but when she gets to watch it she is so happy!  She dances around and sits in her chair and always needs a blanket to snuggle with when she watches it!

Here is Sydney at breakfast this morning.  She is getting so big that she can sit at the island and eat meals now.  She loves banana muffins and will eat as many as we will let her.  We are also discovering that she just doesn't really enjoy drinking milk, not even chocolate milk.  I don't blame her!  I was hoping she would drink milk that Brian and not me but it's not looking that way.  So I let her have OJ in the mornings because I wouldn't want yucky milk with my muffin either!

24 weeks and ultrasound

24 weeks pregnant.  starting to get bigger.  starting to sleep with a lot of pillows around me.  Brian is over that already!  We have 111 days until my due date.  We are 60% done with this pregnancy.  My next appt is the glucose screening...can't wait!

Here is a picture of Baby R's second ultrasound.  The doctors could find no trace of a VSD so that is excellent news.  No holes for this baby!  They tried to get a good look at the baby's face and profile but it kept either putting it's hands up by it's face or turning it's face away.  I think it has Brian's features...but we will see!   We did get to see it yawn twice...so tired!  I said it must be tired because his/her sister kept him/her up for 2 hours last night!  First Sydney pooped her pants at 11:30 and then I think she must be having some teething issues because finally at 1:30 I gave her some ibprofren and she slept the rest of the night.  maybe her 2 year molars will bust through really fast and then we have have a break from teething before we start all over again!

23 weeks

23 weeks today.  one more week until ultrasound #2.  Not much else has changed in the Reimer world.  Just going to work/daycare.  That's ok because we have a lot of changes coming our way.  Sydney is receiving a lot of goodies in the mail the week...big girl bedding, panties, bathroom stools and potty seats!  We will have to do a post on her reaction to all the changes.  Hopefully on the agenda is painting her basement room and decorating it to make it awesome!  She is back to sleeping through the night so hopefully she does that in her big girl bed still!

Weeks 21 and 22

The last few weeks have been such a whirlwind that I didn't get around to updating the blog.  it is a miracle that I am remembering to take weekly pictures, I think I am better with baby #2 than I was with Sydney!

21 weeks

22 weeks

Here is Sydney at 22 months.  notice the bags under her eyes...she has decided that she only wants to sleep at night if I am holding her.  Last night I was trying the cry it out method to sleep train her and she cried for an hour and a half before Brian couldn't take it anymore and had to go in there to calm her down.  We'll see how tonight goes!

20 weeks and ultrasound

We did it!  we have made it to the halfway point of pregnancy #2.  To celebrate, Sydney and I dressed alike.

Although her belly is big, I am still bigger!!

This is a picture of the ultrasound picture, so not the best quality.  I think this baby looks a lot like Sydney did in her ultrasound pictures, except not as chubby, or maybe just not as big of cheeks.  I feel like maybe this one might have a chance of looking like me!!  No clue on gender, I made sure Brian and I both diverted our eyes during that part of the ultrasound.

Baby R #2 sure is cute!

We get another chance to see this little pumpkin on Spetember 25th.  The doctor found a VSD on the baby's heart, which I guess is common.  She explained a VSD as a small hole in the heart.  She said that this particular VSD is super tiny, like a pin prick, and said that some doctors might not even have seen it or said anything.  It is more than likely a hole that will close up as the heart continues to develop.  So that means we go back for another ultrasound to make sure it closes as it should.  On the ultrasound they said they couldn't see any blood going through the hole so that is also good.  She told me not to worry about a thing, and not to google it.  After our situation with Sydney and her ultrasound in which they found an echogenic focus on her heart, I have decided to follow the doctor's orders and I am not going to worry or google VSD.  I have learned my lesson about freaking out about something that doesn't need to be freaked out over.  We will take this baby and love it whether it has a hole in it's heart or not.  It would be preferable that it closes up so we don't have to do surgery or anything like that when it comes out thought!  We are just praying everything happens the exact way it is supposed to.  You wouldn't believe the panic that hit me though as they said they needed to bring the doctor in to look at the baby's heart!  Not again!!

What is with our babies and their hearts?!  I guess my body is just not made to hold that much love in one spot :)

Other than that, everything on the ultrasound looked awesome!  Baby R weighs 13 ounces and had a heart rate of 151 during the ultrasound and 157 when I went upstairs for my dr visit.  I have really been starting to feel some real kicks, and not just flutters anymore.  Hopefully the 2nd half of the pregnancy goes as fast as the first half, because we will be holding a baby in no time!!

Throwin' It Back Thursday.....Children's Museum Summer 2014

Since I am super late on posting this pics, I will do a TBT post!  Works for me!  Earlier this summer we took the opportunity to go to the Brookings Children's Museum with cousins and it was a blast!  My favorite parts were the grocery store and the dinosaur.  I think the kids loved it all!  After we left the museum it took Sydney about 10 seconds to fall asleep in the car...success!!  Sorry for all the pics, but they are all so cute!

Sydney and Haley loved grocery shopping!

Pretty sure Sydney was putting stuff in others people's carts...oh well!

Time to check out!

Emily and Josephine were such good helpers!

Whatcha got there Parker?  I like potatoes too!

Josephine acting as Sydney's shopping assistant.

Time out for a news break :)

Then a snack at the diner.  I love this little apron on her!

The water room was also a huge success!  Never mind the fact that the younger kids got a teench wet :)

Sydney meeting her cousin Ethan for the first time.

Giant Lite Brite...awesome!

I think this might have been one of Sydney's favorite parts.  Looking back now, I realize that she is really into coloring and crafting and has been for some time.  Once again, that apron!!

Haley creating a masterpiece!

Get this apron off of me mom!

Parker did such a good job at the museum, he kept up with all the big kids!

Haley and Karen climbed way up high!

It took some talking to get Haley off this saddle.  I think she needs her mom and dad to buy her a real horse!

the DINO!  Sydney loved hearing this guy roar!

Digging for dino bones.

Such a big girl at the museum!

What a fun day!

Went back to the grocery store to pick up a few more things before we headed home :)

What a group!  They had such a fun time!

Ended off the day with ring pops and a softball game :)
