Keegan 1 year photos
We had Keegan's 1 year pictures taken in January. He was such a little stinker, he didn't want to smile at all!! so this is the best we could do!
almost a smile!!
Those blue eyes though!!
Such a big boy sitting in that chair. so proud of himself!
almost a smile!!
This is the closest to a smile that we could get. I am actually holding him in this picture, and Abby had to crop me out, which is why it is so close up!

Sydney and poopy training
Well, anyone who knows Syndey knows that she has a problem going poop in the toilet. She doesn't poop her pants, but she holds her poopies in for days until she can't take it anymore. Brian and I have tried EVERYTHING to get her to go poop when she first has the urge, and nothing worked. UNTIL NOW. Last week I got the idea to make a sticker chart for her and told her that if she pooped 4 times and got 4 stickers she could go to a movie in the theater with Brian and get pop, popcorn, and candy. Apparently that was the motivation she needed! We hung the chart up in Wednesday evening. On Thursday, she pooped On The toilet at daycare. On Friday, she pooped in the toilet while we were shopping at Kohls. On Saturday, every time she sat on the toilet she tried to poop, but nothing came out. On Sunday, she pooped on the toilet at home. At that point she was one sticker away from a movie date. She would go to the bathroom just to try and poop. It appears Brian will be taking her to the movies sometime this week at this rate! She is so proud of herself and Brian and I are proud of her too:).

Big boy!
Keegan had his one year check up. He is a growing boy! He is 2 1/2 feet tall already, and weighs 23 pounds. He is catching up to Sydney really quick! He still has only 4 teeth and man, I CANNOT WAIT for him to get the rest so maybe we can all get a decent nights sleep!
Waiting patiently for his shots, poor baby!

Seeing how much he has grown!

Thumb
Back in November I hurt my left thumb. It got really swollen like the picture below. I ended up needing to have surgery on it to remove a chunk of cartilage. Turns out, my thumb was infected so it was a good thing I opted to have the surgery.

This is what my thumb looked like after surgery. I didn't think it would ever look the same! the big worm like thing was my incision, and it took 6 stitches to piece it back together.

This is what my thumb looks like 5 weeks after surgery. The incision is still raised up, but not nearly as far. The scar hurts so bad! I think it is just because it is brand new skin. Whenever it touches hot or cold water it burns so bad. It also turns purple when i go outside in the cold. I still can't straighten my thumb all the way because the scar makes my skin too tight, and I have some nerve damage which makes the tip and the side of my thumb feel like it is asleep. The dr said he thought that would go away after time. I hope so! I still don't use my thumb as much as I should, I have really gotten in the habit of not using it. I think eventually everything will go back to 100% normal, I would say right now I'm at 60%. I'm still glad I had the surgery, I don't want to know what would have happened if I would have left that infection in my thumb for too long!

Crazy kids
These crazy Reimer kids! Here are some shenanigans that have been happening at our house lately:
Crackers with frosting in them for dessert. Of course only the frosting is eaten! A crowd favorite for everyone except Brian, who will never understand the deliciousness.

Keegan and the Hyvee horse. We thought he would like it.

He wasn't too sure about it.

Can I be done now mom?

Actually, I hate this thing! Get me off!

Last night I was cooking supper and I heard Keegan fuss a little. He had sat down in a pot and couldn't get out!
