Christmas at the Reimer Ranch

Christmas at the Reimer Ranch went super fast this year.  We had a lot of fun and the pickup was a little heavier on the drive home!  

Sydney's stocking was full the night we arrived!

Our Family Christmas

Brian and I are still struggling a little bit to create "our family Christmas tradition".  Since we are always in Chamberlain for Christmas Eve and in Chancellor for Christmas day, we need to pick a separate time to do our Christmas with Sydney.  For now, it is fine to pick a random night to exchange gifts etc., but in the future, I would really like to establish a time that we can do our family dinner, drive and look at Christmas lights, and then exchange gifts.  We don't need to worry about it quite yet…Sydney probably won't remember!  Here is some snippets from our family Christmas 2013.

Sydney Meets Santa!

Santa came to Chancellor so it worked out perfectly that Sydney had spent the night out at the farm and could go meet him Saturday morning!  She didn't appreciate sitting on Santa's lap AT ALL.  See the progression of her reaction below:

Sydney is ONE!

Sydney is ONE!  She had a great birthday party with family and she loved playing with these streamers!  Her cousin Patricia would run through them with her and she had such great belly laughs!!

Aunt Amber wraps the prettiest presents!  She kept going back to this one and playing with the pretty ribbon!

Sydney's 1 year photos

I wanted to get some pictures of Sydney at age 1.  We took her to JCP studio on Friday night and that was a complete disaster.  Turns out trying to get a 1 year old to stand still for 1 second to get a picture is about impossible.  So Brian and I thought we would try and get a picture on our own.  We took her to the nature park by our house and had much better success.  The key to our success…..we put shoes on Sydney for the first time.  She had no idea what to do and stood completely still!  It was perfect!  Here is a sample of some of the pictures I snapped:
