20 weeks and ultrasound

We did it!  we have made it to the halfway point of pregnancy #2.  To celebrate, Sydney and I dressed alike.

Although her belly is big, I am still bigger!!

This is a picture of the ultrasound picture, so not the best quality.  I think this baby looks a lot like Sydney did in her ultrasound pictures, except not as chubby, or maybe just not as big of cheeks.  I feel like maybe this one might have a chance of looking like me!!  No clue on gender, I made sure Brian and I both diverted our eyes during that part of the ultrasound.

Baby R #2 sure is cute!

We get another chance to see this little pumpkin on Spetember 25th.  The doctor found a VSD on the baby's heart, which I guess is common.  She explained a VSD as a small hole in the heart.  She said that this particular VSD is super tiny, like a pin prick, and said that some doctors might not even have seen it or said anything.  It is more than likely a hole that will close up as the heart continues to develop.  So that means we go back for another ultrasound to make sure it closes as it should.  On the ultrasound they said they couldn't see any blood going through the hole so that is also good.  She told me not to worry about a thing, and not to google it.  After our situation with Sydney and her ultrasound in which they found an echogenic focus on her heart, I have decided to follow the doctor's orders and I am not going to worry or google VSD.  I have learned my lesson about freaking out about something that doesn't need to be freaked out over.  We will take this baby and love it whether it has a hole in it's heart or not.  It would be preferable that it closes up so we don't have to do surgery or anything like that when it comes out thought!  We are just praying everything happens the exact way it is supposed to.  You wouldn't believe the panic that hit me though as they said they needed to bring the doctor in to look at the baby's heart!  Not again!!

What is with our babies and their hearts?!  I guess my body is just not made to hold that much love in one spot :)

Other than that, everything on the ultrasound looked awesome!  Baby R weighs 13 ounces and had a heart rate of 151 during the ultrasound and 157 when I went upstairs for my dr visit.  I have really been starting to feel some real kicks, and not just flutters anymore.  Hopefully the 2nd half of the pregnancy goes as fast as the first half, because we will be holding a baby in no time!!

Throwin' It Back Thursday.....Children's Museum Summer 2014

Since I am super late on posting this pics, I will do a TBT post!  Works for me!  Earlier this summer we took the opportunity to go to the Brookings Children's Museum with cousins and it was a blast!  My favorite parts were the grocery store and the dinosaur.  I think the kids loved it all!  After we left the museum it took Sydney about 10 seconds to fall asleep in the car...success!!  Sorry for all the pics, but they are all so cute!

Sydney and Haley loved grocery shopping!

Pretty sure Sydney was putting stuff in others people's carts...oh well!

Time to check out!

Emily and Josephine were such good helpers!

Whatcha got there Parker?  I like potatoes too!

Josephine acting as Sydney's shopping assistant.

Time out for a news break :)

Then a snack at the diner.  I love this little apron on her!

The water room was also a huge success!  Never mind the fact that the younger kids got a teench wet :)

Sydney meeting her cousin Ethan for the first time.

Giant Lite Brite...awesome!

I think this might have been one of Sydney's favorite parts.  Looking back now, I realize that she is really into coloring and crafting and has been for some time.  Once again, that apron!!

Haley creating a masterpiece!

Get this apron off of me mom!

Parker did such a good job at the museum, he kept up with all the big kids!

Haley and Karen climbed way up high!

It took some talking to get Haley off this saddle.  I think she needs her mom and dad to buy her a real horse!

the DINO!  Sydney loved hearing this guy roar!

Digging for dino bones.

Such a big girl at the museum!

What a fun day!

Went back to the grocery store to pick up a few more things before we headed home :)

What a group!  They had such a fun time!

Ended off the day with ring pops and a softball game :)

19 weeks

19 weeks!  Baby is 6 inches long and about 9 oz.  getting bigger....not as much as I am though!  48% done.

Here is little Miss Sydney at 21 months.  She was struggling to wake up this morning (we let her stay up late swimming in the backyard last night) so she needed all 3 blankets with her at all times.

Here is the queen of the house eating her pre-breakfast (aka picking the marshmallows out of her Lucky Charms)  She always eats again at LuAnn's house so we basically feed her a snack to keep her occupied while we are getting our lunches ready.

18 weeks

18 weeks is here!  I really feel like I exploded this past week.  No more belly band, straight up maternity pants now.  That went fast.  I'm sure the TCF didn't help matters at all!  Or the fact that I might be done puking.....although I almost had to have Brian pull the car over on the way to our camping trip last weekend.  46% done!

17 weeks

17 weeks today, 161 days left until Baby R # 2 arrives.  43% done with pregnancy #2.

So far, I'm thinking I have been feeling a few kicks here and there, but still waiting to feel something that definitely is baby.  Last weekend I was snuggling Sydney when she was sick and I thought I felt a kick.  My first thought was, "oh great, they are already competing for my attention!"  Hopefully that is not the case.

Ultrasound is coming up in 3 weeks!  Can't wait to see pictures of this new little one.
