Christmas with the Pluckers

On Christmas day we woke up early and drove back to Chancellor for Christmas with the Pluckers and the Albers.  It was a fun and busy day!!  I didn't get many pictures, I was too busy enjoying the time with my family!

Sydney with Muncle Ike :) and her stocking at Grandma Vickie's house.  Still sleeping, such a good baby!!
Family picture with her Christmas dress on.  Isn't she cute!!

On Christmas Evening when we got home she was so tired she didn't even wake up when I changed her out of her clothes into her pajamas.  Now that's what I call a good Christmas!!

Christmas in Chamberlain

Saturday morning we went to Chamberlain to spend a few days with Brian's family in Chamberlain.  I was a little nervous about it since it was our first real trip away from home.  I packed and repacked for her and we ended up with a full pickup!  At any rate the trip was a success and she was a wonderful baby not only for the car ride there and back but also for the 3 days we were there.

Grandma Elaine and Sydney took a nap when we got there.
Sydney opening her stocking.  The elves hooked her up with some sweet toys!
Her cousin Jake hanging with her and auntie Amber.  Jakey loved Sydney so much!
We decided to do a photoshoot with Sydney.  She sat like that n her boppy for over an hour and never made a peep!  She actually fell asleep sitting there while Jaimi was still taking pictures.  She is such a good baby!
 Isn't she adorable?!

Patricia's American Girl doll lent Sydney her Christmas headband for a quick photo....CUTE!
 Our family picture.
 Sydney with her huge stocking!!

Sydney in her Christmas outfit from aunt Shelley.  so sweet!!

Sydney's first Christmas!

Sydney had a great first Christmas!  We started out by celebrating together with her on Thursday night before Christmas.  Brian and I drove her around Falls Park to look at the pretty lights then we went home and opened presents.

Sydney with her stocking--doesn't seem too thrilled about it.
Sydney with the Christmas tree--still not too excited.
Opening her stocking, she got blocks!!
 Giving Brian her present.
Giving mommy her present.  After this she fell asleep :)  Still a very memorable evening!

Life with Baby Sydney---one month!!

Life this past month has been so good!  Sydney is getting more and more active every day and more and more fun!  And this mom is starting to catch up on sleep so life is really good!!

Here is what has been going on the past couple weeks:

Hanging out at Grandma Vickie's while mom did some Christmas baking...She got lots of snuggles and I got a nap in too!  What a great day!!
Her first attempt at a bottle was a success!!  She slurps bottles down so fast that we have to take it away so she can breathe....we definitely don't have a problem with this girl eating!!
Aunt Karen and cousin Haley came for a surprise visit!!  We had so much fun with them!!  We only wish they could have stayed longer.
Showing Aunt Karen how good she is at tummy time...she loves it!!
At Sydney's baby shower....she was blessed with lots of amazing gifts!  What a lucky baby!
The best sisters/aunts two girls could ask for....THANK YOU for the amazing shower!!  We love you guys!!
Sydney with Grandma Vickie and the beautiful diaper golf bag at Aunt Angie's house.
With her daddy in her golf t-shirt....could he be any more proud?!  She better hope she likes life on the golf course!!
I love my bath time!  As long as the water is warm and I am warm too I could stay in here all day!
Daddy is good at giving baths!
I love my activity mat....I can already reach some of the rings!  I haven't grabbed hold of any yet though!

Sleeping in her new swing!

We went to the dr this morning.  Sydney is 9lbs 8 oz (60th percentile) and 20 3/4 inches (30th percentile).  Everything else looked really good!!  She is a thriving baby.  Next month we go back for shots :(

Baby R is here!!

On November 17, 2012 at 9:10 PM our lives were changed forever....Sydney Olivia Reimer entered this world with hardly a cry and melted her mom and dad's hearts immediately!!

She weighed 7 pounds 8 ounces and was 20 3/4 inches long.

Since Sydney has arrived we have pretty much just been trying to figure her out!!  Brian took a week off of work and we had lots of family and friends offer a hand also!  Here are some pictures of Sydney at home.

She has been nothing but loved and snuggled to pieces since she has arrived and I wouldn't change a thing!  She is our greatest blessing from God and makes me smile every day.  Brian and I still can't believe how beautiful and precious she is!!

39 weeks

Here is the 39 week picture....hopefully this is the last one!!!  Maybe next time I update the blog it will be of pictures of a baby!!  Here's hoping!  Brian and I are going stir crazy!  We have been so bored this weekend.  We are definitely ready, the house is clean, the laundry is done, the groceries have been bought!

Do I look like I've dropped?  Several people have told me this past week that I look lower.
So ever since I have been able to feel the baby move every night between 9 and 10:30 the baby just goes bananas!  I thought I better capture some of those movements before it was too late!

If the baby supposedly slows down it's movement before it is born we might be looking at while yet!

37 weeks and things are swell!

37 weeks.......20 days until my due date.....

I think it is time for this baby to make an appearance!!

I am definitely getting large and in charge.  My arms and legs are pretty swollen by the end of each day.  In this picture you can see that even my calves are swollen.....I had been sitting on a bar stool in the kitchen and my leg must have been pressed up against it.  I feel like my face is swollen too, hence the tummy only picture above.  I keep reminding myself that it's only a couple more weeks and it will be so worth it!  I've been trying to swim more at the gym instead of walk to help alleviate the swelling.

Brian and I at a Halloween party this past weekend....it was a lot of fun and my costume was super easy to make!!

36 weeks

Friday night the girls at work threw me my first baby shower.  It was so fun!!

Everyone had to write down their hopes for Baby R and they gave me a binder to collect them in.  So cute!!  I also had to match everyone up with their baby picture.  I did horrible!!

I got showered with some pretty sweet gifts.  Lots of blankets, cute clothes, a nap nanny, a baby monitor, diaper genie.....and lots more!!

Mom helped me load everything up and bring it home to unpack.   Then another surprise!  Dad dropped off a dresser they bought Baby R for Christmas!

I started loading it up right away!  The nursery is getting pretty full and I loved unpacking all the goodies!  I love looking at all the tiny little clothes....I hope the baby isn't too big when it arrives and can fit into the tiny little onesies that are sooo cute!

28 days left until my due date....the countdown is on!!!
